Special Documentation Update for July 23, 2015
Today we're introducing a number of changes to docs.fastly.com specifically designed to help you find information more quickly and improve navigation through our service guides:
- We've significantly increased the number of service guide categories and subcategories. While some of the organization remains the same, we've moved a number of our service guides into new locations to better reflect the tasks you're trying to accomplish while using Fastly services.
- We've improved many of the titles, usually by making them a bit shorter. Almost all the guides retain the essence of their original titles but remove unnecessary words so you scan through them more quickly.
- We've combined several of our smaller service guides into longer documents. To reduce the number of hops between related service guides, we've combined some of the information into single, longer documents so you can read everything all at once. We've even added the ability to link to sections within these longer documents so you don't lose your place.
- We've added automatic, intelligent searching. Should old bookmarks and links to docs.fastly.com ever become outdated, we've added functionality that proactively searches for information based on them and suggests potential alternatives.
