About the Workspaces page

IMPORTANT

This guide only applies to customers with access to the Next-Gen WAF product in the Fastly control panel. If you have access to the Next-Gen WAF control panel, check out our web interface guides for the Next-Gen WAF control panel.

From the Workspaces page, you can view and manage your workspaces.

Before you begin

The Next-Gen WAF is disabled by default. To purchase and enable the product, contact sales@fastly.com. Once enabled, any user will be able to access the Workspaces page and view workspaces they have access to.

Be sure you know how to access the web interface controls before learning about the details you'll encounter here.

Accessing the Workspaces page

To access the Workspaces page, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Fastly web interface.
  2. Go to Security > Next-Gen WAF > Workspaces.

About the Workspaces page

The Workspaces page lists the workspaces you have access to along with high-level details about each workspace including the description, ID, protection mode of the workspace, and the last time the workspace was updated.

From this page, you can:

  • click Add workspace to create a new workspace.
  • use the search bar to filter the list of workspaces by workspace name, description, ID or protection mode.
  • use the protection mode menu to filter the workspaces list by protection mode.
  • click the gear Gear icon next to a workspace to access the Workspace configuration page, where you can update workspace settings and delete the workspace.
  • click the dashboard icon Dashboards icon next to a workspace to access the Dashboards page, where you can view workspace metrics.

About the Workspace configuration page

From the Workspace configuration page, you can click Delete workspace to delete the workspace. You can also manage the settings located on the following tabs:

  • General: update the name and description of the workspace.
  • Protection Mode: update the protection mode of the workspace.
  • Attack Thresholds: update the attack thresholds of the workspace.
  • Virtual Patches: enable and disable CVE signals.
  • IP Anonymization: enable and disable IP anonymization of the workspace.
  • Redactions: manage redactions for the workspace.
